Liverpool Fail In Europe

The Reds put in a good first half display only to bottle it in the second half.

A goal from Kevin Gameiro 17 seconds into the second half and a brace from koke later in the night showed who the better team really was. Daniel Sturridge’s first half beauty with the outside of his left foot  couldn’t help the Reds to a Europa League final win and a Champions League qualification.

Although the Reds dominated the first half they were extremely poor in the second and allowed Sevilla three goals. The first came from poor defending from Alberto Moreno which allowed Mariano to capitalise , he then passed the ball across to Kevin Gameiro who put in into the back of the net with ease.

Many were expecting Liverpool to bounce back but instead they looked dazed and not sure what hit them. The Spanish teams second came after more than an hour into the match as Koke struck from outside the box and only six minutes later after some turbulent defending it was 3-1 with Koke striking again.

The match finished 3-1 and it will be a night to forget for Liverpool’s backline who were off form all night.
